PET, sometimes referred to as PETE, is the lightweight strong material Polyethylene Terephthalate. PET can be recycled and made into other products, helping to reduce landfill waste.

Different PET moulding processes have different advantages to their production technique.

Camtech Engineering are experts in the manufacture of blow moulds to suit Sidel, Krones and SIG stretch blow moulding machines. We produce PET Moulds ranging from 1 to 32 cavities and above and can cater to aluminium or stainless construction. Our blow moulds are suitable for CSD (Carbonated Soft Drinks), water, warm fill, and hot fill applications.

Stretch Blow Moulds are the most common method of manufacturing plastic soft drink bottles as it allows the flexibility of storing and uses injection moulded preforms that have a high tolerance neck finish. This allows moulders who are producing bottles to concentrate on the bottle production.

Single Stage PET Moulds provide a flexible way of producing blemish free bottles, ideal for non-beverage containers and non-standard shapes such as oblong, wide mouth bottles, and jars. The single stage process allows the continuous production of preforms and bottles in a single machine.

Multistage PET Moulds require at least 2 stages. This process is ideal for scalable production quantities. The Multistage is produced in a single machine, but has the ability to have multiple stages of producing the preform, bottle, and cooling.
